Fibromyalgia Syndrome (FMS) and Chronic Fatigue Syndrome (CFS) are both believed to be expressions of the same disorder affecting the Hypothalamic Pituitary Adrenal Axis (HPA disorder) and as such, are treated the same in RT.
However, in Fibromyalgia joint and muscle ache is typically the major symptom (often affecting the shoulder joints in particular).
Also, there is a relatively low incidence of immune symptoms (as compared with CFS) e.g. sore throat, flu-like symptoms, swollen galnds etc.
